Drishyam 2 (transl. Visual 2) is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Abhishek Pathak. The film stars Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles with Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor in supporting roles. It is a remake of 2021 Malayalam film of the same name and also the sequel to Drishyam (2015). The adapted screenplay was written by Aamil Keeyan Khan and Abhishek Pathak while the Dialogues of the film were written by Aamil Keeyan Khan.
Primarily filmed in Goa with other locations including Mumbai and Hyderabad, it was theatrically released on 18 November 2022 to positive response from the critics who praised the performances and writing.

On the night of 2 October 2014, a man named David fled from the police after having murdered his brother-in-law. Hiding behind an unfinished police station, he sees Vijay exiting it. Afterwards, he attempts to apologize to his wife but ends up getting arrested.
Seven years after, Vijay and his family are living a peaceful existence. Vijay has accomplished his dream of opening a movie theatre and is producing a movie with screenwriter Murad Ali. Vijay's elder daughter Anju suffers from trauma over her part in Sam's murder and has ongoing episodes of epilepsy. Jealous of the family's rise in wealth, the locals have resorted to spreading rumors about Anju being in a relationship with Sam, much to Nandini's distress. Nandini's only solace is her friendly neighbor Jenny who is constantly abused by her alcoholic husband Shiv.

Meanwhile, newly appointed IG Tarun Ahlawat, who happens to be a close friend of Meera, plans to avenge Sam's murder. Vijay has an encounter with Sam's father Mahesh who vainly begs him to hand over Sam's remains. At the same time, David is released from prison and wants to restore relations with his now estranged wife. After hearing Vijay's case is still ongoing, he recollects the latter's presence at the police station that night. He goes to Tarun, who summons Meera and Mahesh from London. David divulges what he saw leading to the newly built police station being dismantled. The police eventually discover a skeleton. Vijay who learns of this, fears for the worst.
Vijay and his family are summoned for questioning and Meera reveals a voice recording of Nandini's confession to Jenny thus exposing the family. It is also revealed that Jenny and Shiv are married undercover cops, assigned by Tarun to eavesdrop on the family. Meera turns to question Anju, resulting in the latter having one of her fits. A distraught Vijay falsely claims he was the culprit in Sam's murder. With the police satisfied the family is let go and Vijay is later arrested and placed on trial.
Having learnt of Vijay's arrest, Murad pays a visit to Meera, Tarun and Mahesh. He reveals that during one of his business collisions with Vijay, the latter had fabricated a script for a future crime thriller loosely based on Sam's murder. He also reveals that the script was turned into a novel although it was published under Murad's name for copyright protection. The quarter is then informed Vijay had pleaded not guilty with his lawyer claiming the police used Drishyam's plot as a scheme to incriminate him. Furthermore, the judge reveals the DNA on the body does not match Sam's much to everyone's shock. Murad reveals that Vijay had created an alternative climax in which the hero ( Vijay ) had procured the remains of another young male of the same age and sex by befriending the gravedigger of a local cemetery. He would keep the remains with him for three years before befriending a security guard of a local morgue under of pretext of offering him a role in his film. On the same night, the remains are excavated from the police station and arrived at the morgue; the hero would then swap the remains before the DNA analysis takes place.
Vijay is released on bail due to lack of evidence and the police are prohibited from bothering the family. The judge calls Tarun to his chamber and requests that he ends all investigations against Vijay and his family as such cases are not new to the system. Outside the courthouse, Murad reveals Vijay's climax has a tail ending in which the hero would hand over the remains of the villain to the bereaved parents. Simultaneously, he has Sam's cremated remains handed over to Meera and Mahesh.
As Mahesh performs Sam's final rites, Tarun convinces Meera to let go of her enmity towards Vijay as he believes Vijay would go to any lenghts to protect his family. Vijay, who was watching from afar, solemnly leaves.
